Through the eyes of the world it’s hard to see
With Jesus our Savior we are free
For sins fulfill desires of the flesh
Moments of temporary happiness
They’ve turned into darker times
The fun is much harder to find
You turn to the memories you know
They’re stored in that bottle that you hold
Testing out your past addictions
Thinking that they are now fiction
So you step your feet past that line
You’re ready now – You’re doing fine
Taking the war back from the Lord
You’ve entered a battle without a sword
Each time you get closer you realize
You find your old self on the other side
What happens when we’re left alone
Struggles are hard – Friends are gone
The F in fun turns into fail
Lonely nights and life is stale
Turning something to make it better
You’ve created much stormy weather
Your days are dark like your nights
You cry out with all your might
Come back home to your Savior Jesus
The one who knows and fully frees us
He promises plans for your good
Sealed in His punishment for you
Forget it all, God has forgiven
Take this new life and start living
You’ll find a new heart of happiness
Of peace and love, found in Jesus
