In foolishness I hold my own fortunes
They will burn to ashes without the Son
Endless mirrors they pose to admire
Meaningless constructs of sapphire
Shiny shells without their pearls
Standing firm – idols of this world
Lustrous roads of gold they bend
Paths to destruction –  they all will end
Promises passed – I cannot unbind
Like synthetic diamonds they still shine
Words in accord – they fill my head
Pierce through my heart of Ruby red
Youthful foundations feel like a dream
Ungrounded lusts – colors of tourmaline
I stand ashamed in self- reproach
A precious gem I’ve missed the most
Found not in jewels or castles I’ve made
|Found not in many years I have strayed
Found not in flesh designed me as good
For sins permeate flesh  – like opal to wood
Only found in the perfect blood of Christ
Though I rejected him, he still paid the price
The Solid Rock in which I now stand
Is lasting foundation found in a Man
The highest priest – The perfect lamb
God of this universe – pierced through his hands
Came not to this world for useless adoration
His invaluable blood came to save all nations
He defeated death – He washes away sins
In perfect holiness – He cleanses within
Of all this Earth’s riches I have found the most
Priceless is My Savior – Father, Son and Holy Ghost

A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
